Long Leash Pet Photography at The Good Dog Spot!

Long Leash Photography is coming to The Good Dog Spot on Thursday, November 18th (Thursday photos will be taken during regular daycare hours; pet owners do not need to stay with their pets) and Saturday, November 20th to take pictures of your pets! There are a multitude of options, ranging from Christmas cards, to hardcover books. A variety of packages provides an option within all budgets; these pictures would make excellent holiday gifts! Pictures are printed in color or b & w on archival photo paper that will not fade with time. This is a wonderful opportunity to preserve a memory of your pet in an environment they are comfortable and familiar with.

Fall Dog Fest

Thank you to all who attended Bark for Life's Fall Dog Fest, hosted by us and the Village Grain & Hardware held here at The Good Dog Spot! The turn out was fantastic and we hope you enjoyed the food, fun, and outdoor movie, all in support of a wonderful cause. We look forward to making next year's event even bigger and better, and we hope to see you there again!

Bark for Life's Fall Dog Fest

September is the AKC's Responsible Dog Ownership month, and we have teamed up with Village Grain to host a festival celebrating the bond between pets and their owners! The proceeds from the fair will go to Bark For Life of Greater Springfield, the American Cancer Society's canine version of Relay For Life. Keep an eye on the newsletter for updates on our upcoming fair, with games, vendors, and a late night drive-in movie for you and your dog! Coming up fast on September 25th, don't miss the chance to have a lovely evening with your furry best friend while supporting an excellent cause!

The Kentucky Derby party for daycare dogs takes off on Friday, April 30th with fun races! Purchase photos of your dog posing with a jockey, racing their friends, or wearing a classic Derby hat. All money raised goes to our Bark in the Park fund, a fundraiser to benefit Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society

Puppy parties at The Good Dog Spot! Every Saturday provides a socialization opportunity for your pup, with an hour of play to teach them doggy manners! Small and large breed puppies are welcome, and our trained staff will be at hand to keep play safe and fun while answering all of your questions. Join us between 12:30 and 1:30 to give your puppy the skills they will need to engage in safe, off-leash dog play. More about Champ: Champ is a staff favorite! He is very sweet and snuggly. He thinks he is a lap dog! He loves to lean against us and have his whole body scratched. Champ enjoys playing with all types of dogs, but he has a particular fondness for German Shepherds. His best friend is Harley, a 1 yr old black German Shepherd that belongs to one of the staff members. They play all day and even nap next to each other!
When Champ first came to daycare, he was very scared to walk on our floors. For such a big dog, he sure is a marshmallow! He has gained tons of confidence and now strides proudly in and out of daycare.
We love having Champ at daycare!
